Day 7

I am bursting with excitement because I have signed 30 reps and can live my dreams now.

I just wrote this big beautiful post and my internet froze and I lost it but oh well here it goes again.

I finished my last momentum today as I updated my LinkedIn profile.  LinkedIn is a lot cooler than I originally thought.  I can see how great of a tool it can be to me.  It is like constantly looking for a job without doing anything.  I wrote out a huge list of recruiting strategies that I think will be effective in reaching my goal.

Here is what I have up to this point.

It feels so good to get all these ideas in writing because now I feel like I don't have to worry about forgetting about them.  I am most excited about the online social networking through LinkedIn and Facebook and building a blog about my story of doing pest control.  That way I will be able to refer people to my blog at anytime to get a good grasp of what the job offers and how awesome it can be.  I like having all these ideas written down because I feel that I have figured out more of the how in reaching my goal.

Successes I had today was we think we found a good couple to move into our apartment.  I called Clayton and asked him to be a recruiter for my and incentivized him to do so.  He accepted.  I went to the new EcoFirst office and had a good talk with Sam and Kyle and Brian.  I really like the guys I get to work with at EcoFirst.  They are all driven good guys.  I had a really good feeling while I was there.  Good night.

Day 6

I am bursting with excitement because I have signed 30 reps and can live my dreams now.

I finish my Choice Process last night for changing my negative belief of "I am a procrastinator" to "I am confidently completing tasks ahead of time to allow inspiration and creativity to flourish."  I feel like I have done so many choice processes that I am starting to forget the first ones I did and they are all just blending together.  For a momentum I set a reminder on my iPhone for everyday to come on at 9:00 AM and say my new belief.  This way I will be reminded once a day and won't lose these great new beliefs I am creating.  Successes today was I ran 7 min 33 sec miles for my three mile run this morning and I raked all the leaves and had Jeremy over for FHE to decorate the Christmas tree.  I also called all my reps and followed up with them on getting the 2 for 4 bonus.  They are all doing great.

Day 5

I am bursting with excitement because I have signed 30 reps and can live my dreams now.

Good things that have happened because this week are one of my renters decided to stay in my Apt for another couple of months.  This is great because we are still looking for a renter for Apt 1.  I cooked a super good turkey today. Cherise said it was the best turkey she has ever eaten.  I scored several touch downs and my some great catches at the turkey bowl on Thanksgiving.  Dustin texted me and said he wanted me to help him recruit a bunch of his mission buddies after Thanksgiving break was over.

I am doing well on all my momentums and only have one more to go to complete all the momentums for this week.  It feels good to stay ahead and to not procrastinate.  In fact that is what I did my Choice Process on was procrastination.  Now I am confidently completing tasks ahead of time to allow creativity and inspiration to flourish.  A cool idea I had for a momentum on this Choice Process was to put my affirmation   in my iPhone as a reminder to come up everyday so I have to remember it.  I feel like I have done a bunch of these Choice Processes and I am forgetting the ones I have already done.  With this momentum it puts it on auto pilot so I don't have to worry about it and will be reminded everyday.

Day 4

I am bursting with excitement because I have signed 30 reps and can live my dreams now.

As part of Power 90 I am going to journal or blog about how I recurited 30 reps to sell pest control in 90 days.  For some background on me I started selling pest control in the summer of 2010 in Dallas, Texas and over the summer I sold 316 accounts which generated me about $40,000.  This was awesome for me because I was able to get married and support my wife.  We were able to get out of debt, buy a 4-Plex, pay off my car, buy a road bike and an engagement ring.  It was a dream come true.  The next year I thought I needed an internship to graduate so I put the pest control thing on the back burners.  I was offered a sweet internship with Balfour Beatty Construction in California for the summer.  I was supper excited for that opportunity.  Before going I wanted to make sure going into construction was really what I wanted to do so I interviewed with some construction companies and job shadowed with a Layton Construction project manager.  I spent the whole work day with him and other employees on the job sight and got a good look at the field I was going into.  After what I saw I realized that I would be a slave to the CEO and VP.  After talking with my dad and mission president, Craig Burton, and deeply thinking about it I decide that eventually becoming a project manager for a construction company wasn't what I wanted to do.  I decided to commit to pest control because I know I can make enough money doing that to get me where I really want to be in 5 to 10 years.  Two months before the summer I committed to selling again.  I tried to recruit as many guys as I could in those months but I ended up with just 2 and one of them went home after a week of selling.  I wanted to at least recruit 5 and ended up with just one really good one,  Riley Fitzgerald.  Over the summer I sold 309 in Phoenix, Arizona and co-team lead with Brian Swindlehurst, Johnathan Miller and Matt Bean.  I still made over $50,000 but it was well under what I wanted to make.

This year is going to be different I want to do this for the next 10 plus years so the sooner I can get some good team leaders under me the sooner I will be able to make some big money.  So far I have recruited 5 reps that are going to do great so I am off to a good start.  My goal is I want to have 30 or more reps finish the summer.  This will put me off to a huge start and will set me up with a great base for building my region.  From achieving this goal I will make around $160,000 next year.

I went to Power of Choice by Outlook and learned a lot of cool things and great tools that will push me forward in life and my career.  They have another program called Power 90, it is where you set a huge 90 day goal and work to achieve it.  You meet once per week and they have a system of acceptability and training to help you achieve your goal.  At first I was thinking that I really didn't need to do Power 90 because I am already happy and satisfied with my life.  Then talking to Jessica I realized that I could do Power 90 to recruit.  That is actually what I thought was that I would do it if I was starting a business or setting a huge financial goal.  As I thought about it I thought that this would help me reach my recruiting goal and that would be a huge financial gain to me.  Also, I would be able to teach my team all these great things I was learning to help them achieve their summer goals.  Why not?  I have nothing to lose.  Even if I get one recruit I will make my $1500 back.  Deciding to do Power 90 got me excited because now I know I will be able to reach my recruiting goal and that will set me up for the rest of my life financially.

My 90 day goal is to recruit 30 reps to sell pest control.  That goal in my affirmation is...

I am bursting with excitement because I have signed 30 reps and can live my dreams now.

That is my goal and I don't know totally how it is going to happen but I do know that I will achieve it because I know I can do anything I really set my mind to and put enough time into.  Plus I will have all this help from Power 90 and the support team I create.

I am totally pumped.
